Dubai remains the default first international trip for a large share of Pakistani families, and the logic is hard to argue with: under three hours in the air, an electronic visa issued in days, and enough to fill four or five days without a long transfer anywhere.
The standard itinerary covers the Burj Khalifa observation decks, the Dubai Mall and fountain, a desert safari with dinner, the Marina and JBR waterfront, Global Village in season, and a day trip to Abu Dhabi for the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Families add IMG Worlds or Atlantis Aquaventure; honeymooners add a dhow cruise and a beach hotel.
Dubai also works as a stopover. Pilgrims returning from Umrah frequently add two or three nights in Dubai on the way home, which is straightforward to arrange as part of the same booking.
