Best Time to Visit
April to June and September to November. July and August are hot and busy; winter suits Bursa skiing and lower prices in Istanbul.

Very much so. Distances within Istanbul are manageable, halal food is universal, and the major sites are close together. Cappadocia's balloon rides have minimum age requirements, so check before booking if you are travelling with young children.
Five nights covers Istanbul properly. Seven lets you add Cappadocia without rushing. Nine or more allows the coast or Bursa as well. Fewer than four nights means spending a disproportionate share of the trip in transit.
