Singapore is small enough to cover properly in three or four days and organised enough that nothing goes wrong. Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay and the Merlion cover the skyline; Sentosa holds Universal Studios, the aquarium and the beaches; and Little India and Kampong Glam provide the food and the halal dining.
It is expensive relative to its neighbours, which is why most travellers pair it with Malaysia — a short flight or a bus across the causeway — rather than making it the whole trip.
